"I could write volumes on the reasons I choose to ride at Myrddin. This is it in a nutshell.
When I returned to riding after an 18 year absence, I came to Myrddin and Margie Godson, who had coached me as a teenage, competitive rider. Back then, my impression of Margie as a coach and as a person, was that while being compassionate and honest, she always strived to bring out the best of each horse and rider. For this reason, I chose to return to Myrddin.
In the last year and a half, I have bought my first horse and returned to the show ring. Every step of the way, I was guided and encouraged by Margie.
She truly cares about the progress and achievements of each rider and horse, regardless of whether the horse is a Myrddin horse or a boarder. For several months my horse required specialized care. Her concern and involvement in his recovery went beyond my expectations and there was never any doubt that his 'special needs' were being met by Margie and the members of her staff at Myrddin.
Through her calm, skillful approach to coaching, I have reached a level of trust that I doubt I would find elsewhere. She still drives me to be the best that I can and as a result of her efforts, the best is what I want to give, not just for myself but for her as well."

"Two years ago I decided it was time to get back into the saddle after a 9 year hiatus.
I have been involved and owned horses all of my life so my list of must haves for a barn were strict and mandatory. I required quality, knowledgeable coaching, safe horses that did their jobs well, and lessons that were kept to a reasonable number of riders.
With Myrddin I found all of the above and more.
My lessons are challenging, fun and never, ever the same things over and over. I was shocked at myself to be jumping over cross country fences, something I never thought I would have the nerve to do. I have decided it's the most fun a person can have on horse back.
I have ridden several of Myrddin's horses, all are talented and well behaved, but my heart belongs to Marty. He is safe and quiet for the beginners, but full of talent and loves to jump so he is also perfect for the more experienced rider. He looks after me while out on cross country and for that I am never without treats.
I cannot say enough great things about Myrddin, I am having the time of my life and look forward to my lessons. My lesson mates have become friends, we encourage each other and laugh at each other and have a whole lot of fun.
In my humble opinion no other barn can measure up to Myrddin."

"As an adult with a full time job, I found that Myrddin was very understanding and helpful by working with my schedule and offering the opportunity to take both regular group lessons and additional private lessons as my time allowed."
"Margie's calm and thoughtful approach to teaching provided me with the knowledge base and confidence to take on the next challenge in my riding program."

"The fact that I have been a student of Margaret Godson's since 1991 speaks
volumes to the level of dedicated, professional instruction offered at
Myrddin. The small barn atmosphere is conducive to Margaret's personalized
coaching and mentoring style, and as a result, I have become a very
confident and accomplished rider/eventer over the years."

"It is my honour & pleasure to write down a few words regarding Margie Godson & Myrddin Riding Stable. After a 30-year break I came back to riding on April 19/03. To my surprise & delight I found my child's smile again. It seemed to be a new permanent fixture on my face, disappearing only when I couldn't be at the stable. There never were enough hours to be with Molson (a very special horsie) whom has provided me with countless hours of pleasure. He forgives me my many mistakes & still shows me gratitude for every brush or loving stroke.
In early 2004 I received bad news from my doctor informing me of a malignant tumor. What a nightmare, just as I was planning to compete for the first time ever. Obviously this news changed my plans slightly. However, with Margie's support & encouragement I continued to ride & jump through most of my treatment slowing down only when absolutely necessary. During some of my most difficult procedures I meditated going to Myrddin & Molson to relieve both fear & pain. The day before going into hospital for radiation treatment I had a lesson. When I got to the stable I realized it would be a waste of Margie's talents to have her teach a lesson. After talking I decided I would use the time to practice what little I could (we walked around the indoor arena). Minutes after starting my walk about I heard "Door" to let me know someone was entering the arena. Guess who my coach "Margie" arriving to ensure my safety. Big surprise! As usual she was & is my coach to the end. What a gift Margie is!
To summarize Margie, Myrddin & Molson are the best!!!!!!!!!!!!! I highly recommend all three. Yes, all Margie's horses are as special as Molson, COME IN & SEE !!!!!!!!
With Gratitude,

"A few months ago, I began investigating riding schools for myself and my
three children. Myrddin was recommended to me by a friend and she assured
me that I wouldn't be disappointed. I have to say that she was right on the
mark.
I am a beginner rider and although I possess a great deal of enthusiasm, I
do not possess an equal amount of talent! Margie is very patient as an
instructor. My two six year olds were treated with as much respect and
professionalism as I am. She manages during each lesson to find some
positives to praise and is very kind with her criticisms. While the
atmosphere in the ring is all business, the atmosphere in the barn is
relaxed, comfortable and enjoyable. When my children were taking
lessons, Margie arranged for her daughter to amuse my two younger children
while I had my lesson with my older daughter. It was something we had never
discussed (I assumed that they would watch their Mommy bounce around for 45
minutes) and I was grateful to be able to concentrate on my lesson.
I am enjoying my Myrddin experience immensely and would recommend it as an
ideal place to learn to ride for budding equestrians of all ages."
