Upcoming Events

Myrddin takes great pride in hosting and being involved in a variety of events throughout each year.

These events are sometimes to help riders advance; to benefit worthwhile charities; and of course... to just have fun.

Our Facility

Myrddin's facilities include a renovated historic bank barn with 16 stalls, a large bright indoor arena with radiant heat, jumping sand ring, and 50 acres with cross country fences, gallop fields and rolling hills

Working Student Programme

Working Student Program Myrddin offers full time working student positions throughout the year. Students become fully integrated into the stable routine.

Students receive the following:

5 lessons per week
Coaching at competitions
Mentoring for CEF Rider and Coaching Levels
Accommodation for your horse or use of a Myrddin horse
Accommodation is available for yourself at Margaret's home but your own transportation is mandatory (as the house is 10-15 minutes from the barn). Students may live elsewhere, if they choose (i.e. @home or a friends)
Hands-on stable management sessions
Receive $100 per week for personal expenditures and groceries.

Students are expected to do the following:

Work 5 days a week as stable staff
Duties to include feeding, mucking, turnout, tack cleaning, bandaging, etc.
Facility maintenance - help @ work parties, keep barnyard clean and tidy, put out garbage, clean out weeds around cross country jumps, and paint show jumps when necessary
Grooming at competitions (may replace a work day)
Students are responsible for their own meal preparation and household upkeep (i.e. laundry, dishes, etc.).
