About Myrddin Equestrian Centre

Myrddin Equestrian Centre

Mission Statement:

We will consistently produce confident and knowledgeable fully rounded horse-people in a safe and enjoyable atmosphere.  Using experienced certified coaches, well trained horses, and excellent facilities, we will develop students beyond the level which is offered at traditional riding schools.

Myrddin Equestrian Centre has been teaching riders of all levels since 1978 and has been at its current location since 1999.

Operated by Head Coach Margaret Godson for the last three decades, Myrddin has produced many successful horse and rider combinations. Margaret oversees the development of all the Myrddin students. Her in-depth knowledge and experience provide intuitive insights for reaching personal goals. Meet Margaret...

Our staff consists of full time employees Lizzie McKinley and Kathy Curran. Both have a lifetime of horse experience. They assist Margie in looking after each horse as an individual. They are supplemented by part-time staff and working students.

Theresa Rondeau Vuk (CEF Level 1 Coach) teaches regular classes and some special interest groups.

Myrddin has accomodations for 16-18 horses in a renovated bank barn that is spacious and airy; warm in the winter, and cool in the summer.

Indoor ArenaThe 60 x 160 indoor arena is made of board and batten with clear windows that open for ventilation making the arena dry and bright year round. We have heaters in the corner for spectators and one on the centre line so the arena is useable even in the depths of winter.

Mirrors at both ends, a heater on the center line, and windows that open -- a great year round amenity!

Outdoor Riding Sandring
Our 80 x 220 all-weather sand ring is situated on a hill that drains well, and there is always a breeze.

Cross Country jumping

We have 50 acres of varied terrain: flat, hills, and woodlands. Our Pre-Entry through Training level XC Course includes such fences as: steps, coffin, ditch, oxers, pallisade, steeple chase, table, bank, coup, roll tops, jumps in and out of the stadium ring, and some smaller inviting fences for green horses.
